David Randle is a master teacher of guitar technique, musical understanding, and creative application. How David Teaches

A Life in Music
David’s musical life spans decades. Early in his career, he was the lead guitarist for The Brain Police, a prominent Pacific Southwest hard-rock band that performed and toured alongside artists such as Cream (including Eric Clapton), The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield (Neil Young and Stephen Stills), Steppenwolf, The Byrds , and Eric Burdon & The Animals. Original Brain Police vinyl LPs are now collector’s items, with copies selling for over $2,000.
Teaching & Musical Perspective
In the 1980s, David owned and operated American Dream Music, a large music store and education center offering instruction in guitar, drums, keyboards, voice, and songwriting. Running both a major retail operation and a serious teaching program gave him rare insight—not only into how musicians learn, but how equipment, tone, and setup actually affect results. Students benefit from this experience through clear, unbiased guidance about gear, sound, and musical priorities.
Current Work
Today, David works internationally as Guitar Lesson Expert and My Songwriting Coach, performs as a guitarist with Rebeca and David, produces recordings through David Randle Productions, and serves as a staff writer for Wedding Song 4 U. Despite this breadth of work, he remains deeply committed to personal instruction. His mission is simple: to help every student who chooses to study with him become the best musician they are capable of being.
